It is secured by reinforced hinges and a lid support that holds the writing surface steady. The console has a huge storage compartment, perfect for tools, paperwork cell phones etc. Oversized dual adjustable cup holders secure different sizes cups and bottles. A special bottom mount strap allows for center seat belt mounting.
